How do I receive treatment? A Chinese practitioner will examine you using rational techniques, consult with you on present and past medical conditions and lifestyle. The examination or consultation can be taken in a private interview room (if required). The practitioner will recommend a course of treatment to assist with the problem according to the principles of Chinese Medicine.

What is the role of the acupuncture treatment? Acupuncture play a role by needling to transport the channel qi,restore and regulate the functions of the zang-fu organs ,qi and blood of the body.

How will I feel during and after treatment? While acupuncture can be slightly painful to some, most people experience a feeling of peace and relaxation during the treatment. You should be fine to travel home alone afterwards. If you are in any doubt, you could take a friend with you on your first visit.

Does Chinese herbal medicine have any side effects? Generally speaking, Chinese Medicine is safe with few side effects. Occasionally, because the body has to readjust, there may be some minor side effects, such as loose stools, or diarrhea, of which you will be informed beforehand.

How to deal with a hematoma A mild hematoma caused by a little subcutaneous bleeding, in general, will disappear by itself. If necessary, first apply a cold compress to the area of the hematoma to stop bleeding,then apply warm compress, local pressing or light massage to help disperse and absorb the local stasis of blood.

HOW TO USE AND MAKE THE HERBAL TEA (DRINKING HEABS) One bag of herbal medicine can be used for one day. Make it for 2 cups of herbal tea, drink twice a day, morning and evening. It's better 1 hour after a meal and drink it warm, add some honey if necessary.

Please according to the following steps for making the herbal tea:

  • (1) Empty the herbs into a deep saucepan and add approximate 600ml (about 1.5 pints) cold water in.
  • (2) Soak for half an hour.
  • (3) Bring to boil with the lid on
  • (4)Simmer for half and hour until about two cups of liquid remaining. Check it occasionally during simmering and make sure it is not too dry.
  • (5)Strain off the liquid (about 300ml) from the herbs.
  • (6)Divide the liquid into two cups, one for the morning, one for the evening.
